There are many ways to be involved in Texas Cattle Dog Rescue!

Provide a Foster Home for a Cattle Dog

Fostering a dog is a very rewarding experience. It can also serve several purposes. First and foremost, fostering gives a temporary home to a dog that would otherwise be euthanized in a shelter or abandoned on the street. Fostering is also a good idea for someone who would like to see if a dog will fit into their household permanently. Some fosters only foster short term (60 days or less) while a pet recovers from surgery, undergoes heartworm treatment, or waits for it's forever home to be checked and approved. Provide an Item from our Wish List

We are always in need of various items for our rescue. Below is a list of our current needs:

Medium to Large Crates
Chain-link Dog Runs
Dog beds
Dog food
Treats
Toys
Dog bowls for food and water
Collars and leads
Dog shampoo and brushes
Heartgard 26-50 lbs
Advantage or Frontline (up to 50 lbs)
Medical Supplies (syringes, vaccines, gauze, vetwrap, antibiotics, Rimadyl, etc.)

We are always in need of funding for our rescue. Every penny we collect goes to the care and maintenance of a cattledog in our rescue. Every donation is important - no matter the size. Sponsor a Cattle Dog

See a dog on the site that you would like to help, but cannot foster? Consider sponsoring! By sponsoring a dog, you send a monthly donation based on what that particular dog needs. Sponsoring pays for vet care, medications, food, bedding, toys, etc. If you are interested in sponsoring a dog, please contact Jenn at jenn@texascattledogrescue.com.

Help with Transporting Dogs

Taking a trip soon? Have space in your vehicle for a dog or two? Whether it is to another town in Texas or another state, we always need help transporting dogs to foster and / or forever homes. Our group is spread out all over Texas and we have people willing to foster in other states (Colorado, New York, California, etc.). If you are traveling and would consider transporting a dog, please contact Jenn at jenn@texascattledogrescue.com
