The more foster homes we have, the more dogs we are able to save. By fostering, you give a temporary home to a dog that would have otherwise been euthanized or abandoned and help prepare them for their new life.
If you'd like to know first hand what it's like to foster for TCDR, let us know. We'll put you in direct contact with a current TCDR foster parent so that you can chat with them and have all your questions answered before completing the foster agreement.
Sad, neglected, older dog hopelessly stuck in a shelter.
Texas Cattle Dog Rescue is a foster-based organization. We do not operate a shelter and do not have a central location for our dogs. Dogs are fostered in volunteers' homes all across Texas.
The more foster homes we have, the more dogs we are able to save. By fostering, you give a temporary home to a dog that would have otherwise been euthanized or abandoned and help prepare them for their new life.
When fostering a TCDR dog, you provide the love, attention, and safe temporary home for a heeler in need. You also have a say in your foster's ultimate home. Foster assignments tend to be short term while a dog recovers from surgery, undergoes heartworm treatment, or waits for a forever home. TCDR pays for veterinary care and heartworm and flea preventative for foster dogs.
If you are interested in fostering a heeler, please complete our foster agreement.
Donations of any amount are gladly accepted and help defray the cost of veterinary care and supplies.
